Treat your walls to a Kandinsky

Improvisation 10 dates from the period in which the Russian painter, graphic artist and art theorist Wassily Kandinsky was living and working in Munich. Over the course of his oeuvre, Kandinsky passed through Jugendstil and folk art to Impressionism and Expressionism, and finally to abstraction. His writings established the theoretical foundations of abstract painting. In Improvisation 10 we see him moving ever further away from representational forms and closer to abstraction.
