Description

Ask the monkey

The Educated Monkey truly lives up to his name. Simply move his feet, and with a wave of his hand, so to speak, he will multiply and divide any pair of numbers you choose. The original version of this early mathematical calculator was invented by William Robertson of Belmont Ohio and patented in 1916. Today, genuine originals from that period already change hands for a couple of hundred dollars, and it is hard to find examples that are still in good condition. This replica is a faithful reproduction of the original. The Educated Monkey can be used for multiplications up to 12 x 12. Slide the monkey’s feet to the desired factor, and his hands will point to the result. A fold-out arm on the back allows the calculator to stand up vertically, whether in a display case or on your desk. The Educated Monkey will soon have young and old testing him on his math!
