Description
Engadin. An Art Journey Vol. II
The publication Engadin. An Art Journey Vol. II is a homage to this unique mountain region and invites readers on an inspiring journey of discovery. Four well-known personalities share their perspectives on the beautiful Engadin from different angles and speak about their personal connection to the high valley. They share their love for the region and reveal where to find the most interesting art highlights, which hiking routes are especially picturesque – and where to get the best fresh bread. These contributions are complemented by two additional essays on art and iconic locations.
The Engadin is not only a place of extraordinary natural beauty, but also a culturally rich region with a long-standing tradition. Ernst Beyeler, too, maintained a close relationship with the Engadin. At his second home in Sils Maria, he found retreat and inspiration – always in dialogue with art. He was also fascinated by the diverse artistic activities in the region and maintained close ties with artists and art institutions there.
This publication was produced in collaboration with Richard Mille, who has supported the Fondation Beyeler as a committed sponsor since 2023. It is part of a book series that celebrates remarkable art landscapes while giving voice to personalities who share a special connection with these places.
