The more frequently we communicate digitally, the greater the pleasure of receiving a handwritten card. But it’s not just the thought that counts—a greeting card is also a feast for the eyes. This is certainly true of the high-quality cards featuring selected works by Piet Mondrian. Representing a wealth of different styles and movements, they offer a suitable artistic motif for every recipient.

Marking the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth, the Fondation Beyeler will devote an exhibition to the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. As one of the most important artists of the avant-garde movement, Mondrian shaped the evolution of painting from figuration to abstraction.
