Andy Warhol combined cars and art, and even smashed records at auctions, with his famous silkscreen Silver Car Crash (Double Disaster). But Warhol’s style is hugely successful outside the art market, too, and is adapted in thousands of ways. As for example in this Pop Art edition from Schuco. The diecast racing car is based on the legendary 1936 Schuco Studio I Mercedes-Benz, but instead of the discreet silver grey or racing green of the original, this model is available in the Pop Art colors of blue, orange, pink and green. The only danger of a crash, incidentally, is if you overwind the clockwork mechanism.
