Albert Oehlen, one of the most important living artists, has made a film with Oliver Hirschbiegel and Ben Becker. The film “The Painter” in which his (satirical) alter ego is played by one of Germany’s best-known actors, Ben Becker, is a critical, tongue-in-cheek anatomy of art, the role of the artist and the art business.
The film is in English.
After the screening, Albert Oehlen and Ulf Küster will discuss the film. The screening will begin at 5 p.m. and the talk will commence after a short break at 7 p.m.The talk will be held in German.
The price of the ticket includes admission to the museum, which can be viewed before the event begins
