Flower of salt
Andean salt is harvested in Bolivia at an altitude of over 3000 meters. It was originally deposited millions of years ago and protected from environmental influences by a layer of volcanic ash. The salt rock is dissolved by spring water, which is captured as brine in evaporation ponds. The distinctively rose-colored salt, which the Incas called “flower of salt”, is extremely pure and uncontaminated, as well as being rich in calcium and magnesium. Its delicately salty, slightly sweet taste enhances the flavors of fish, seafood, meat and salads. Bon appetit!
