EDWARD HOPPER & COLLECTION
Edward Hopper (1882–1967) is widely acknowledged as one of America’s most important painters. A large selection of his world-famous works, usually only on view in the US, will be presented at the Fondation Beyeler.
In order to comply with the coronavirus safety guidelines established by the Swiss Confederation and keep waiting times for our visitors to a minimum, we have introduced an online timed ticket system. Before your purchase, please read the following instructions carefully:
We encourage all visitors to book an online timed ticket. These tickets are valid for a specific date and time only (chosen freely by visitors according to availabilities). Time slots that have sold out will no longer appear in the system. Admission to the museum is scheduled within 30 minutes of the time specified on your ticket. Arriving late means you may have to wait.
Please note that the number of tickets available per day and time slot for the current exhibitions is limited. This way we can ensure a balanced flow of visitors. Please book an online time ticket only if you are sure that you can keep the appointment. Only very limited number of tickets are available at the museum box office. Due to the popularity of the current exhibition, there may be long waiting times for those arriving without an online timed ticket.
For the protection of all, we recommend that visitors to the museum wear a face mask. Face masks are available free of charge at the museum reception desk or at the museum shop for visitors without their own mask.
You have already purchased an online ticket, you have a voucher (e.g. RailAway, “Mittwochsgeschenk” of the Riehener Zeitung) or you hold a membership (e.g. Art Club, Young Art Club, Museums-PASS-Musées) that would normally allow you to access the museum freely?
Ahead of your visit, go online to book a timed ticket labelled “FREE ACCESS WITH MEMBERSHIP/COOPERATION”. These tickets are only valid with appropriate identification. ID and ticket must both be presented for admission to the museum.
You hold a membership (e.g. TCS) or a card (e.g. Basel Card, Caritas Kultur Legi) that grant you reduced-rate admission?
hen go online to book a timed ticket labelled “REDUCED RATE WITH MEMBERSHIP/COOPERATION” before buying your reduced-rate ticket on site at the museum ticket desk.
A full list of our cooperation partners for reduced-rate admission is available here: https://www.fondationbeyeler.ch/en/visit
