The Parisian designer and interior architect Pascale Lion is fascinated by basically simple idea: to interlink singular rings and creating a larger object. Using a technique dating back to the Celts who used it to create protective chain mail armor. Lion now uses this chain mail technique in a completely different context and goes for simple yet delicate beauty – be it for accessories for the household or jewellery, where she uses materials like stainless steel, brass, bronze, aluminium or titanium. While the ring mesh is produced with modern machinery and unrivalled precision the final assembly is still done strictly by hand.
