Globus Public Art Project Claudia Comte

As part of the cooperation between the Fondation Beyeler and the Globus department stores‘, the Globus Public Art Project was created, an initiative that invites an artist each year during the three-year remodelling phase to play around the façade of the iconic department stores’ on Münsterplatz. Artist Claudia Comte kicked off this project with Waves, Cacti and Sunset, opening a window into another world with her work.

At the end of the installation, the Fondation Beyeler was able to take some of the advertising panels designed by Comte and reuse them. The result is a limited number of shoppers. Each of these bags is unique and the material makes them resistant and resilient – the ideal shopping companion.
