The House that Jack Built, 2014
Etching in an exclusive special edition
In 1992 Peter Doig completed the oil painting The House that Jacques Built. In parallel with his work on the large-scale canvas, he also executed this etching of the same motif—but never published it. The etching was only issued for the first time in 2014, to accompany the special edition of the catalogue to Peter Doig’s solo show at the Fondation Beyeler. Printed by Druckwerkstatt Olten and numbered and signed by the artist in a limited edition of 50, this Art Edition is offered in a slipcase together with the exhibition catalogue (in English).
Published on the occasion of the Peter Doig exhibition held from November 23, 2014—March 22, 2015 at the Fondation Beyeler.
