Matisse – Invitation to the Voyage

To celebrate the exhibition ‘Matisse – Invitation to the Voyage’, a major retrospective of the important French artist’s work which opens at the Fondation Beyeler this autumn, you have the opportunity to take part in the big competition by purchasing an exhibition ticket. The main prize is a trip worth CHF 2,000 that will take you to Nice on the trail of Henri Matisse. There are also other artistic prizes to be won: the exhibition catalogue, high-quality art prints, postcards and other surprises related to the exhibition.
To enter the competition, book a ticket for the ‘Matisse – Invitation to the Voyage’ exhibition here by 21 September 2024 and confirm your participation in the competition during the purchase process. The winners will be notified by email after the competition closes at the end of September. The decision is final. You can find the terms of participation here.
The exhibition ‘Matisse – Invitation to the Voyage’ will run from 22 September 2024 to 26 January 2025 at the Fondation Beyeler.

Timed ticket
When booking your timed ticket, please select a month, a day and a time. Your ticket is valid only for this specific date and time. Only book a ticket for a time slot you know you will be able to keep, as we offer neither exchanges nor refunds. Tickets are also available on site at the museum ticket desk.

The ‘Admission IV’ E-TICKET gives you direct access to the museum. The ‘Admission IV’ E-TICKET must be presented together with your IV card (disability certificateat) the entrance.
Admission BaselCard
Admission for visitors with BaselCard
The ’Admission BaselCard’ E-TICKET is only valid with a valid BaselCard. Please present your E-TICKET together with your BaselCard at the ticket office in front of the museum entrance.
Admission up to 25
Admission for visitors up to and including 25 years of age
The ‘Admission up to 25’ E-TICKET gives you direct access to the museum. The ‘Admission up to 25 years’ E-TICKET must be presented together with your ID card at the entrance.
Free/reduced admission with membership/cooperation
The ‘Free/reduced admission with membership/cooperation’ E-TIME SLOT is a reservation for a selected date. We kindly ask you to present your E-TIME SLOT together with your ID or voucher entitling you to free or discounted admission at the ticket office in front of the museum entrance in order to purchase your ticket at the appropriate rate.
Members of the Fondation Beyeler (Friends, Art Club, Young Art Club, BEYS), guests with Fondation Beyeler voucher, RailAway voucher, ‘Wednesday gift’ from the Riehener Zeitung or members of the Museum-PASS-Musée have direct access to the museum with their E-TIME SLOT and ID or voucher.

Purchasing online tickets for the Matisse exhibition is recommended. However, admission tickets are also available at the museum's box office, though wait times may apply.
